I am back in Singapore but I am also in a world of confusion! Jet lag and a cold is making me feel like death and more then anything, I want to be in bed but am at work. The joys of adulting. Can I just be a kid again?!?!
I have no idea what day it is, I have to continuously check the calendar but even then I think it’s Monday. Thankfully, it’s Tuesday. You see, I was supposed to have gotten back into Sing Sunday night, but as luck would have it… I only got back on Monday night.
What a journey. I am so incredibly tired and exhausted and the thought of traveling again is the furthest thing from my mind, but I have another trip in a few days. #firstwoldproblems I can’t wait to stick around Singers for a good while.
So the journey back to Sing started on Saturday morning EST. I got to JFK at 6:10am to check in for my 8am flight to London. What a MESS! Apparently British Airways was going through a labor dispute, so there were 4 people checking in a full flight. And whoever was working the tills obviously had no experience and it took them 20 minutes to check in one person. Seriously??? Needless to say, everyone was pissed off.
I finally managed to check in at 8am. Yeah. That’s the time my flight was meant to leave. And then going through security, you would think that they’d be rushing the people on my flight forward, but nope! We were told to wait just like everyone else. They obviously couldn’t care less about our flight. Well, I knew the flight wasn’t going to leave without me, but I was stressing about my connecting flight to Sing.
On the plane, we were finally all seated. It was a full house and we were all annoyed. Despite the fact that the the flight was all seated for 8:30am, we didn’t take off till 9:30am. Oi vey. Needless to say, I missed my flight to Singers. We only landed in Heathrow at 9:15pm and my flight to Sing departed at 9:30pm. Luckily, the BA staff in Heathrow were much more efficient then at JFK so I was given a hotel voucher and booked for the next flight to Sing. The next flight to Sing was Sunday night at 8pm. Womp womp.
All of a sudden, I had a night and a day in London….
How was everyone’s weekend?
