Recent Reads February 2020
It’s been a super long time since I’ve done a “Recent Reads” post, so here you go! I’m linking up with Steph and Jana for the first time for their “Show Us Your Books” link-up. I’ve always meant to participate but I never did but new year, new me. Amiright?!?! 😉
So without further ado, these are the books I’ve recently read. As you’ll notice, I definitely gravitate towards crime/thrillers. I will try to mix it up next month! But if you’re into crime/thriller novels, then I’ve got you covered!

The Shape of Night by Tess Gerritsen
I wasn’t expecting the paranormal aspect to this romantic thriller but it worked. I can’t say I’m now a lover of paranormal romances, don’t think that the genre I gravitate towards, but this was a good, fun read. Definitely kept me hooked and threw me in for a loop.
Six Four by Hideo Yokoyama
Wow, this book was ah-mazing and it comes with impressive accolades to boot. It is long but you won’t want to put it down because you get so invested into the story. It’s beautifully written and doesn’t read like your normal crime novel. It truly is a work of art. This is a MUST read!
Outfox by Sandra Brown
I’ve only recently discovered Sandra Brown and this is the second book I’ve read of hers. It’s fast and easy and hooks you in. I do feel like I get invested in the characters and feel like I’m rooting for them. I did not expect the ending!
The Last House Guest by Megan Miranda
Fun and easy is the name of the game. The premise of the book hooks you in right away, though in some ways it’s the classic townie vs the rich summer inhabitants story and why did poor-little-rich girl Sadie kill herself? Or did she? Though truth be told, it took me a while for me to get into but once I did, it was fun.
Any of these titles catch your fancy? Or have we read some of the same books? Let me know!!
