So I’m assuming by this time, with fall officially in gear, you’ll have had a few pumpkin spice lattes by now? Or are you not a fan?
Living overseas in London and Singapore, I missed out on the whole PSL craze. I know that Starbucks does offer them in the UK but here in Singapore it’s been a new addition to the seasonal menu. I think it made its debut last year and I totally missed it. I had the opportunity to try it at Heathrow one time during a layover but I didn’t do it. I don’t know why, maybe I was just resisting it.
This year though, I decided I’d see what all the fuss was about. I mean, you can’t have the whole of the US crazed and obsessed with a PSL and not try it, right? So yeah, I found out that in Singapore the PSL would come on the 17th so I even put a reminder in my calendar to go to Starbucks and get one. Haha
I even splashed out and allowed for the whip cream.
So my verdict:
It was okay. And you guys, I really wanted to love it and become crazy obsessed, but I didn’t.
Oh my god, please don’t hate me if you’re a PSL fanatic!!
It was super sweet and I could barely taste the pumpkin spice. Kind of tasted samey to their other flavored drinks. Towards the bottom, I could taste the pumpkin spice a bit more.
My American friend, Casey, said I have to try one in the US and this one probably wasn’t that good. Haha She did mention a cafe by her work made a really good one, though she wasn’t sure if they were making it this year. So I’m gonna have to go and check this non Starbucks cafe out and hopefully they’ll have a PSL for me to try.
