We are squarely in September and I know that the rest of the year is just going to fly by. Has anyone come up with some potion to slow time down? No? Hmm, ok. Well, in some random news, today is Brazilian Independence Day. Yay for Brazil! I do really miss my country and I wish I knew when I would go for a visit again, but at this point, there are no plans to go. I just came back from East Timor a few days ago and I can’t wait to share my travels through a spectacular country. Stay tuned! But for now, it’s that time of the month for, you guessed it, a Currently edition!
Anyway, let’s get to it, shall we?
Reading: Am I the last person on earth to have read “Me Before You” by Jojo Moyes? Ok, well, I finally read it and wow, my tear ducts definitely got a good work out. I loved the book so much that I quickly bought the sequel, “After You.” I haven’t finished it yet, but it definitely hasn’t won me over like Me Before You. But we’ll see. Have you read them?
Trying: To save money. I ended up spending more money then I thought I would in Timor, but I didn’t spend all the money I did bring down with me. I guess that’s a good thing, but I have to now pay off my Morocco trip and after that, then I feel like I can try and save some money. Where is my trust fund?!?!? HA, I wish!
Hoping: I’m hoping for something, but I’m not ready to verbalize this just yet on the blog…. Hopefully I can share with due time!!
Decorating: So I have realized that I’ve been buying blankets from the places I’ve traveled to as souvenirs. Is that weird? Well, I was thinking I could use one of those decorative ladders to showcase these blankets. I currently have one from Kenya, Cambodia and now Timor! All very different in colors and patterns.
To-do listing: Hmm, nothing really. I guess I should look to clear out my closets and the clutter in my room. The clutter is really starting to annoy me. HA
